Youth in Action
YOuth support the community Through volunteer service for community events and projects; by volunteering at and collecting donations for local agencies and organizations; and by helping to raise awareness of volunteer needs and opportunities in our area. 
Volunteer Service
SUW-YVC members visualize, plan, organize and execute community service projects. In addition, local teens provide volunteer power to local agencies, such as S4P's food bank (right).
Donations
SUW-YVC members collect and distribute donations such as clothing, food,
supplies and more. In the photo to the left, youth members helped collect school supplies for
local students in need.
Leadership skills
SUW-YVC members have many opportunities to gain leadership skills through educational lectures and practical applications. Youth serve roles as chairs and co-chairs of committees and projects, giving them hands-on experience in leadership positions. Groups work together to set and accomplish goals, so teens participate in the planning and organizing processes of activities.
